Marley Kay Lowe

Marley Kay Lowe is an experienced professional in education and outreach with a focus on communication and advocacy, currently serving as the Education and Outreach Specialist at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) since November 2022. In this role, Marley develops and delivers educational programs on critical topics related to sexual assault and abuse across the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Previously, Marley contributed to various educational institutions as an Assistant Speech and Debate Coach, enhancing the skills of over 120 students in high school and middle school settings. Additionally, Marley held positions in media relations, teaching assistance, and substitute teaching, and participated in a fellowship focused on art and homelessness, resulting in the publication of a children’s book. Marley Kay Lowe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Ethnic Studies, Communication Studies, and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies from Kansas State University.

Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA)

MOCSA’s mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community. Together we can create a community free from sexual assault and abuse. Our services are free of charge and available to survivors and their families in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We offer the following services: - 24-hour Crisis Services: 816-531-0233 & 913-642-0233 - Advocacy: hospital, legal, police, and court advocacy; support groups - Counseling: individual and group therapy - Education: age-appropriate programs for children in elementary, middle, and high schools; training for advocates, counselors, law enforcement, restaurant and bar staff, and other professionals - Prevention: supporting community based coalitions in both Missouri and Kansas to prevent sexual assault and other forms of violence
