Luis Vargas is the founder and CEO of Modern Adventure, an organization that helps people have more adventures in their lives. Luis is also a member of the board of directors for TEDxPortland and the Adventure Travel Trade Association. Luis has been named a top travel specialist by Condé Nast Traveller and is a chapter officer for Global One, an organization that promotes young leaders. In addition, Luis is a partner at CEO Coaching International and has served on the boards of WorldOregon, TCS World Travel, and El Camino Travel. Luis is also a board member of the Classic Wines Foundation.
Luis Vargas has a degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in General Management and Executive Programs from 2007-2009. Luis is also a certified sommelier from The Court of Master Sommeliers from 2004-2005. Lastly, they have a degree from San Diego State University-California State University in Education from 1994-1997.
Luis Vargas works with a small team of people who report to him. This includes Joanne Vargas, who is the Chief Experience Officer and Co-Founder, and Scott McNeely, who is the COO and Co-Founder.
