Keith McAllister is a Senior Partner in the Sports, Media & Entertainment Practice at Modern. Keith brings significant experience as a journalist, executive, board member, and now executive recruiter.

Prior to joining Modern, Keith was a Partner at Accelent and then at SRI as Head of Digital Media and Technology. Keith’s search experience includes board, CEO, C-suite, and advisory projects across stages and sectors, including consumer internet, media, entertainment, information services, sports, technology, commercial, and nonprofit.

After growing up in New York City’s West Village, attending Amherst College, and starting his career as a reporter at a weekly newspaper chain outside Boston, Keith spent 18 years at CNN, where he rose to be EVP/Managing Editor. He and his US team, then the world’s largest TV newsgathering organization, won an Emmy for their coverage of 9/11. He went on to be the General Manager of Thomson Reuters global Consumer Media business, as well as the CEO of Mochila and the CEO of Wochit, two venture-backed technology companies.

Today Keith is Chairman of the Board of Inside Climate News, the Pulitzer-prize-winning non-profit news organization focused on climate and environmental justice. He is also an emeritus board member of Americares, the global healthcare nonprofit.
