LJ Brock

LJ Brock has over 20 years of experience in talent acquisition and recruiting, currently serving as the Chief People Officer for Coinbase. LJ oversees all aspects of HR including recruitment across the company as well as internal cohesion during rapid scaling. He came to Coinbase after three years at Citadel, serving as the Chief People Officer there and working closely with the Board to transform the HR organization. Between 2008 and 2016, LJ was at Red Hat Ventures where he served as VP, Global Talent Group & People Infrastructure.

Earlier in his career, LJ served in senior talent roles for Experian and Sapient respectively. He is a leader in the field of managing human capital, most recently presenting his findings at institutions such as Harvard Business School. Outside of Modern, LJ is also an investor and advisor for Swing Racquet + Paddle, a sports recreation company.
