James Mock began their career in 1990 as a Communications Systems Manager in the United States Army, where they focused on installing and maintaining secure voice and data systems. After leaving the military in 1997, they worked as a Health Care Claims System Programmer at National Data Corporation, leading a programming team and designing software solutions. In 1999, they became an IT Consultant at Software Architects, Inc., providing software development consulting services to clients such as Ameritech and National City Bank. James joined LogistiCare in 2000 as a Software Development Manager and later advanced to the role of Director of Software Development, responsible for enhancing software systems and aligning business operations. In 2014, they became the Vice President of Software Engineering at LogistiCare, overseeing the development and delivery of complex systems across multiple call centers. Their most recent position is Senior Director of Software Engineering at Modivcare, where they manage delivery teams and leads large-scale digital transformation programs. James has a track record of success in guiding cross-functional talent and implementing agile practices.
James Mock holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus. In addition, they have obtained certifications as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2023 and as a Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in 2018.
