Marta del Olmo González

Marta Del Olmo González has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Marta began their career as an Intern in the Middle East and Iran exploration department at Repsol in 2009, where they conducted regional geology analysis and evaluated reserves. Marta then worked as a Reservoir Engineer Intern at Beicip-Franlab in 2011.

In 2012, Marta joined Cepsa as a Reservoir Engineer in the Algeria Asset, where they contributed to reservoir management, operations design, and methodology development. Marta also worked on an Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project in Colombia, designing and implementing a chemical EOR project.

Marta'sroles at Cepsa also included being a Reservoir Engineer in the Appraisal Team, where they conducted reservoir evaluations, and a Reservoir Engineer in the Upstream Project Development Team, where they performed economic evaluations for new projects. Marta later transitioned to the M&A Analyst role in the Corporate Strategy Team, focusing on corporate acquisitions and strategy.

Currently, Marta holds the position of Head of Hydrogen analysis optimization & modelling at Cepsa, where they continue to contribute their expertise in economic and technical analysis for decision-making processes.

Marta Del Olmo González has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Geological Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Marta also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering from IFP School. Marta completed an Executive MBA at IE Business School in 2016-2017. In 2019-2020, they pursued studies in Behavioral economics and value investment at Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Prior to their tertiary education, they attended Lycée Français Madrid.
