Agnes Horvath is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in economic analysis, modeling, and forecasting. Currently serving as Chief Economist at MOL Group since September 2016, Agnes is responsible for macroeconomic analysis and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization. Additionally, as a short-term expert for the International Monetary Fund since January 2015, Agnes advises central banks in Morocco, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Cape Verde on modeling and forecasting techniques. Prior to these roles, Agnes worked as a Senior Economist at OGResearch, where responsibilities included developing forecasting systems for emerging market economies, and served as Head of Economic Modelling at Magyar Nemzeti Bank Rt., managing model-based forecasting exercises. Early career experiences include an economist position at Oesterreichische Nationalbank, focusing on Central and Eastern European economic developments. Agnes holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Central European University and a Master’s degree in Finance from Corvinus University of Budapest.
