Vu Dang has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and machine learning. Vu is currently the Chief Data Officer and Director of AI for Business Growth at MoMo (M_Service), where they are responsible for leading the data platform team, data governance, AI application in various areas, and the business intelligence department. Prior to that, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Facebook, focusing on combating health-related misinformation through manual moderation and AI/automation. Vu also held the role of Chief Scientist at FPT Technology Innovation - FPT Corp. where they supervised data science teams and worked on projects related to online media and commerce. In addition, they have experience as a Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, primarily working on computer vision projects.
Vu Dang's education history includes earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Cambridge from 2002 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master of Mathematics degree, also at the University of Cambridge, from 2005 to 2006. Lastly, Vu Dang obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, completing their studies from 2006 to 2010.
