Chamath Suraweera

Chamath Suraweera is an Engineering Intern at Moog Australia Pty Ltd since December 2024, focusing on researching new technologies for product development and conducting R&D activities within a multidisciplinary team. Currently serving as a Teaching Associate at Monash University, Chamath assists students in understanding theoretical concepts through practical implementation in engineering courses. As a Research Student, efforts include developing a deep learning solution for identifying the center of mass of glass façade panels. Chamath's involvement with Monash High Powered Rocketry includes roles as Control Engineer and Control Lead, working on control systems for high-powered rockets and managing multidisciplinary project communication. Additionally, Chamath served as a Tutor and Head Tutor at Dr. Study, supporting VCE students in STEM subjects while also managing a team of tutors. Chamath is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science at Monash University, expected to graduate in 2025.
