Arash Kalatian

Arash Kalatian is a data scientist at Moneris since November 2022, with prior experience as a research scientist at the University of Leeds from March 2021 to November 2022, where significant work included developing pattern recognition algorithms and managing extensive mobile phone data sets. Earlier, as a research assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University from May 2017 to February 2021, Arash Kalatian created a data-driven framework for modeling road user interactions with self-driving cars and improved survival models for pedestrian wait times using advanced machine learning techniques. Arash Kalatian's research experience also includes developing an unsupervised framework for analyzing transport modes during a tenure as a research assistant at Sharif University of Technology from January 2015 to January 2017. Arash Kalatian holds a PhD in Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University, as well as Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
