Brian is currently working at MongoDB since 2022 as the Manager of Technical Services - Atlas Support. Brian started as an Operations Support Engineer and was responsible for monitoring the health of servers, databases, applications, and web/mobile sites. Brian troubleshooted various issues related to music streaming, app functionality, content transcoding, and messaging. Brian also wrote queries and gathered database data to troubleshoot messaging and billing issues.

Brian's earlier work experience includes a role as an Operations Support Engineer at Thumbplay from 2007 to 2011, where they were involved in similar responsibilities as at Clear Channel Radio. Additionally, they have experience at Vonage from 2003 to 2007 as a Shift Lead and NOC Engineer II. In this position, they detected and communicated service interruptions, investigated alerts for production systems, and wrote scripts and queries.
