Thomas Trần (Tùng)

Thomas (Tùng) Trần has a diverse work experience in the field of product design and user experience. Thomas (Tùng) is currently working at MongoDB as the Director of Product Design since February 2022, having previously served as the Product Design Lead from October 2019 to February 2022. In addition, they are also a Design Instructor at BrainStation since November 2022.

Before joining MongoDB and BrainStation, Thomas worked at Compass as a Staff Product Designer from December 2017 to October 2019, and as a Senior Product Designer from May 2016 to December 2017. Prior to that, they were a Product Design Lead at Marcus / Goldman Sachs from November 2015 to May 2016.

Thomas has also gained valuable experience at Google, where they worked as a UX Designer from July 2011 to November 2015. Before Google, they were a UX Designer at Macy's from April 2008 to July 2011. Their early career included a role as a UX Designer / UI Engineer at Shoplet from December 2005 to April 2008.

Throughout their career, Thomas has developed expertise in product design, user experience, and user interface engineering.

Thomas (Tùng) Trần attended the New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering from 2000 to 2001, where they focused on computer science. After that, they attended the School of Visual Arts from 2001 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design.
