Anthony Spizuoco

Director, Engineering Deployment at Monolith

Anthony Spizuoco has a diverse work experience in various companies. Anthony started their career as an REU Student at Cornell University's Nanofabrication Facility in 2005. Anthony then worked as a Co-op Student at IBM 300mm Lithography in 2006, where they conducted experimental studies on micro-contamination and developed a novel cleaning approach for wafer handling chucks.

After that, Anthony worked at AccessClosure, Inc. in two different roles. First, as an R&D Polymer Engineer I from 2008 to 2010, they developed a test method for moisture analysis and contributed to process characterization and optimization studies. Then, as an R&D Polymer Engineer II from 2010 to 2011, they researched and developed a bio-inert polymer technology for vascular closure devices.

In 2011, Anthony joined Amyris as a Process Development Engineer. Anthony was responsible for modeling commercial-scale distillation units, determining impurity profiles, and qualifying lab-scale processes. Anthony had two roles in Amyris, with their last role ending in 2015.

Since 2015, Anthony has been working at Monolith. Anthony started as a Lead Process Engineer and was involved in mathematical and statistical modeling, database integration, process optimization, and design of experiments. Then, they became a Manager, Reactor Process Engineering, managing various projects and teams related to process development, plant operations, and technology transition. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Manager: Core Technology Process Deployment, where they focus on the strategic deployment of Monolith's Core Technology platforms and oversees process engineering, data services, technology transfer/validation, sustainability engineering, and due diligence.

Anthony Spizuoco attended the University of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Alongside their studies, they also pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst during the same period. In April 2017, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Villanova University.
