Seamus McNamara

Seamus McNamara is a seasoned fiscal and policy analyst currently managing the operating and capital budget portfolio for technology services and public information at Montgomery County Government since August 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Legislative Aide for Councilmember Will Jawando, overseeing legislative matters in energy, environment, housing, and various planning areas. Seamus has also worked as a Group Field Accountant at Ullico Inc., conducting field audits, and served as Legislative Director for the Maryland House of Delegates, leading a six-person staff. Additional roles span positions in the U.S. House of Representatives, including research and constituent services, and internships within congressional offices. Seamus holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and an Associate of Arts from Montgomery College.
