Ben Everest has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Ben'smost recent position was as an Engineering Manager at Monzo Bank, starting in January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Featurespace for several years, holding various positions including Head of Analytical Engine, Analytical Engine Lead Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and Graduate Software Engineer. In these roles, they gained expertise in software development and analytical engine management. Before joining Featurespace, Ben pursued a Ph.D. at The University of Nottingham, where they focused on Ultracold Atoms theory with an emphasis on Rydberg Atoms in the Condensed Matter Theory group. Ben co-published five peer-reviewed scientific articles during their Ph.D. and received recognition for two of them. Additionally, they completed internships at Universität Innsbruck and The University of Nottingham before pursuing their Ph.D.
Ben Everest earned their MSci in Physics from the University of Nottingham from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from the same university from 2013 to 2017.
