Ernesto Damiani

Ernesto Damiani currently serves as Acting Dean of the College of Computing and Mathematical Sciences and Director of the Cyber-Physical Systems Center at Khalifa University, focusing on ICT technologies and emergent innovations like the Internet-of-Everything and Machine Learning. With a rich background in academia, Ernesto holds the position of Full Professor at Università degli Studi di Milano, where teaching and directing the SESAR research lab are key responsibilities. In addition, Ernesto is President of the Interuniversity Consortium for Informatics, co-founder of Moon Cloud, and has held various roles in advisory positions and board memberships, including at Fondazione Filarete and DFLabs. Ernesto's early career includes a tenure as Editor in Chief of a prominent technical magazine, and a significant strategic role at MiPiace.com during the deployment of a fiber-optics network in Italy. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Università degli Studi di Milano and a Laurea in Computer Software Engineering from Università di Pavia, alongside an honorary doctorate from INSA Lyon.
