Alvaro Alvarez del Rio is an experienced investment professional and entrepreneur, currently serving as the Founder of Boost Capital Partners since September 2021. With a long-standing role as Investment Director at Swordfish Investments since January 2011, Alvaro specializes in sourcing, diligence, execution of venture investments, and board representation for portfolio companies. Additionally, Alvaro holds multiple board positions, including board member roles at Creature Comforts, Five Lives, and Volta XR, as well as serving as a strategic advisor and board member for Moova and Wibond. Alvaro has also been an angel investor in notable companies like Deliveroo and Zencargo. Previously, Alvaro founded and manages TSO CAPITAL LIMITED, focusing on advisory and personal investment. Educational qualifications include a Master's in International Business, Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Statistics, Economics, and Languages from the University of Deusto.
