Gerard Alba serves as Chief Investment Officer at MoraBanc since October 2022, overseeing multiple teams including Asset Management, Capital Markets, and Insurance, while also holding various board director positions within the organization. With a robust background in academia, Gerard Alba is currently a lecturer at both Universitat d'Andorra and Universitat Carlemany, focusing on courses related to computer science and data science. Previous experience includes managing director roles at BancSabadell d'Andorra and Vall Banc, as well as extensive teaching in quantitative finance at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Gerard Alba holds multiple degrees and certifications, including an MSc in Mathematics and a postgraduate degree in Quantitative Finance, supplemented by executive education in machine learning and digital transformation from prestigious institutions.
