Alexei Kaminski

Alexei Kaminski is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as Managing Director and Global Head of Commodities Strats at Morgan Stanley since July 2018, following a progression from Executive Director roles. With extensive experience in quantitative analysis, Alexei previously worked at Beacon Platform Inc as a Senior Quant Developer and at Castleton Commodities International as an Executive Director, specializing in desk quant research. Alexei's earlier career at Morgan Stanley spanned over a decade in various capacities, including responsibilities for quant support across multiple trading desks and the development of a C++ model library. Academic foundations include a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Minnesota and an MS in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, alongside early studies in theoretical condensed matter physics.
