Yuriy Nevmyvaka is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in machine learning and quantitative trading. Currently serving as Managing Director of Machine Learning Research at Morgan Stanley since November 2018, Yuriy leads the Machine Learning Research Department. Prior to this role, Yuriy held the position of Chief Investment Officer at MANA Partners LLC, overseeing investment activities involving high-frequency trading and statistical arbitrage. Yuriy has also contributed as Partner and Portfolio Manager at Engineers Gate, where innovative intraday strategies were developed, and as Portfolio Manager at Cubist Systematic Strategies. Additional roles include Co-Head of Systematic Trading at Banc of America Securities and Senior Associate at Lehman Brothers. Yuriy earned a Ph.D. in Finance and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Middlebury College.
