Janet Stathas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in project management and legal expertise. Currently serving as the Information Technology Project Coordinator at the Morgridge Institute for Research since October 2020, Janet has previously held significant roles, including Project Manager at Perseus Group, Constellation Software, and Senior Project Manager at Virtual Properties, where Janet was one of the founding partners and contributed to pioneering cloud-based software solutions for real estate brokerages. Janet's legal career includes roles as an Attorney at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP, and Hansell & Post, focusing on construction and commercial litigation. Janet holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and a bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University.

The Morgridge Institute for Research is a nonprofit biomedical institute exploring uncharted scientific territory to discover tomorrow’s cures. Morgridge works to improve human health through innovative, interdisciplinary biomedical discoveries, spark scientific curiosity and serve society through translational outcomes, in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Research areas include regenerative biology and bioinformatics, virology, medical engineering, metabolism, core computational technology and bioethics.
