Sofia Bachmann is currently an HSF Scholar with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, a prestigious recognition awarded to one of 10,000 students selected from over 124,000 applicants. Additionally, Sofia serves as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Morgridge Institute for Research, contributing to research in the Drummond Barbosa Lab that explores the connection between exercise and oogenesis in Drosophila melanogaster. Sofia is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Genetics and Genomics and a Bachelor's degree in General Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with an expected graduation date in May 2025.
