Dimitri Akimaru is an experienced entrepreneur and mentor in the startup ecosystem, currently serving as a mentor at 500 Startups since November 2020. As the founder of Tokyo Tech Startups, Akimaru has established the largest English-speaking startup and investor community in Japan, fostering global connections for Japanese tech startups. Akimaru also founded Morphus, a location-based AI-powered social network, and has a history of founding and co-founding multiple companies including Activehelper, Estia LLC, Chronoid, and Vena, each focused on various innovative solutions. Akimaru graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2014.
