Matthew Pittana is a Climate Risk Specialist with extensive experience in climate science and risk assessment, currently leading the Climate Change Team at Morrison Hershfield. Pittana is recognized for developing the Climate Risk Assessment Framework (CRAF) tool for BC Housing, the first of its kind for portfolio-scale physical climate risk assessment. Previous roles include serving as a Climate Risk Specialist at EcoAct, where Pittana led the North American team's analyses on physical climate risks and innovative tools for hurricane exposure. Earlier experience encompasses positions as a Decarbonization Consultant at Fleet Challenge Canada, a Climate Specialist at WSP in Canada, and a Meteorologist at CatIQ, among others. Matthew holds a Master of Climate Change from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Science from York University.
