Kathleen Spiess, CFRE, currently serves as the Vice President of Development at The Morton Arboretum, a position held since May 2014, after previously holding the role of Senior Director of Major Gifts. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Dean/Director of Advancement at the University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Assistant Dean for Advancement at the UIC School of Public Health, where Kathleen developed and implemented a comprehensive advancement plan. Kathleen's career also includes leadership roles at ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Drake University, and early experiences in development and journalism. Kathleen holds a BA in Organizational Communication and Journalism from Western Michigan University.
