James Bishop, Jr. was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and is a Licensed Social Worker. For the past 30 years he has worked in the Human Services field as a Counselor/Case Manager, Clinical Supervisor, and Program Director for various Human Services agencies covering multiple modalities: Therapeutic Communities, 28-day Rehabilitation Centers, Transitional and Permanent Supportive Housing, Outpatient Behavioral Health Treatment, Community Residences. In this time, James has demonstrated an ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and has developed tremendous interpersonal skills and strong professional relationships with clients, including individuals, families, and community groups. James has a thorough understanding of the impact of human services and community engagement to provide access to resources for those who are most vulnerable and have the greatest need for concrete services.
