Saman Nouranian has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Starting in 2001, they founded and worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Persia BME Information Institute until 2011. In 2014, they worked as a consultant at Pathonix Innovations Inc. for a year. Saman then joined Motion Metrics International Corp as a consultant in 2015 for a few months. From 2016, they started working at Motion Metrics, initially as a Data Scientist & AI Engineer, and later as an AI Research Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Artificial Intelligence Research at Motion Metrics. Alongside their professional roles, Saman also worked as a Research and Teacher Assistant at The University of British Columbia from 2011 to 2016.
Saman Nouranian earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biomedical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic in 1999. They then went on to obtain a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Tehran in 2003. Their educational journey concluded with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical & Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia in 2016.
