MOTOR Ai
Vardeep Singh Sandhu has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and research. Vardeep Singh has worked as a Perception Radar Engineer at MOTOR Ai since March 2023. Prior to this, they completed a Master Thesis at CARIAD from May 2022 to November 2022, where they developed a novel transformer-based network for moving object segmentation using automotive RADARs. Vardeep Singh achieved state-of-the-art results in this project. Vardeep also worked as a Robotics/Vision Engineer at Robidia in early 2022, where they developed a tracking and prediction system for a slider camera. Vardeep Singh briefly worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at SCREWERK from July 2021 to November 2021, automating a screw-sorting machine using deep learning algorithms. Their early experience includes working as a Research Assistant at The University of Bonn from July 2020 to June 2021, where they focused on removing dynamic vehicles from intensity maps in mobile robotics.
Vardeep Singh Sandhu completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, from the years 2013 to 2017. Following that, from 2019 to 2022, they pursued a Master's degree in Mobile Sensing and Robotics from The University of Bonn.

MOTOR Ai
Motor Ai is the only German autonomous driving company specialized in addressing the safety and legal requirements set by the European Union. Motor Ai is building an Intelligence for level 4 and 5 autonomous vehicles. Its cognitive intelligence-based system is capable of making decisions in complex, urban traffic. In contrast to trained-modelapproaches, the system can explainably reach a decision in a completely new situation. This offers two great advantages: it is certifiable under international safety standards and does not need to be trained on infinite scenarios.Motor Ai was founded in 2017 by Roy Uhlmann and Adam Bahlke. It was initially bootstrapped and quickly gained support through competitive accelerator programs such as the Horizon 2020 initiative by the European Union and through investments from experienced investors. Motor Ai’s international team is composed of experts in computer vision and cognitive neuroscience.
