Emily Metelski has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Emily started their career as a Community Center Assistant at Towson University Housing and Residence Life in 2013. Emily then worked as an After-School Care Provider at Immaculate Heart of Mary School. In 2013, they also joined Parfections Handmade Gourmet Chocolates as a Sales Associate & Confectioner, where they worked until 2017. In 2018, they served as a Marketing and Graphic Design Intern at Charm City Bluegrass Festival. Emily's next role was at Pathfinders for Autism, where they first worked as a Program Assistant from 2016 to 2017. Emily then became the Communications Coordinator from 2017 to 2019, overseeing organization rebranding and total website redesign, and successfully leading a Giving Tuesday marketing campaign that raised $38,000. Emily joined Thread, Inc. in 2019 as a Communications Manager, a role they held until 2021. Currently, they are working at Movement, initially as a Marketing + Community Specialist, and currently as a Marketing + Community Professional.
Emily Metelski attended Towson University from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "Building Professional Relationships" from LinkedIn in May 2021 and in "Blackbaud Certification in eTapestry 2014 Fundamentals" from Blackbaud, although the exact month and year of these certifications are not provided.

MISSION To create community, share passion and inspire philantrophy. Founded in 2017, Movement (formerly El Cap) is the largest nationwide network of indoor climbing facilities. Movement is committed to growing the climbing community through a shared vision for outstanding customer service, inspirational designs, and highly engaged communities. Movement gyms feature bouldering, top-roping and lead climbing, as well as amenities like yoga studios, functional fitness, cardio zones and retail gear shops. Each facility caters to participants of all abilities – from competitive athletes to weekend adventurers and families. Presently, Movement is represented in Baltimore, Washington D.C., Bay Area, Denver, Dallas, Chicago, Orange County, and Portland.
