Julia Zuo

Julia Zuo is a Senior Magnetics Engineer at MP Materials, focusing on research and development of Nd2Fe14B permanent magnets for the clean energy sector. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Researcher at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where Julia optimized synthesis processes for transition metal chalcogenides and developed Python scripts for analyzing magnetic properties. Julia has held various teaching and management positions, including instructor roles aimed at supporting first-generation college students and managing a magnet property measurement system. Julia earned a PhD in Materials Science from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor's degree with high honors in Materials Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
