Lin Xia

Lin XIA is a Senior Mine Geologist at MP Materials since September 2020, bringing extensive experience in the geology sector with a focus on resource estimation and exploration. Prior to this role, Lin XIA served as a Resource Geologist at Imerys from March 2008 to August 2020, managing numerous transnational projects related to industrial minerals such as talc and mica across various locations in the USA and Canada, as well as in Mexico. Lin XIA also held the position of Group Geologist in China at Imerys, providing technical support for industrial minerals projects and mining operations. Earlier experience includes working as a Project Geologist for Rio Tinto, where responsibilities involved exploration for iron ore and other minerals in China. Lin XIA holds a Ph.D. in Tectonics and Structural Geology from the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, along with an MS and BS in related fields from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).
