Sophie Davies-Patrick has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Sophie currently holds the position of Chair at Wired Sussex and has been a Non-Executive Director at the company since 2019. In 2020, they became the Chief Technology Officer at MPB. Previously, Sophie worked at American Express as the Vice President of Engineering from 2019 to 2020 and as the Engineering Director from 2015 to 2019. Sophie also served as the Director of Operations at Clearleft Ltd from 2013 to 2015 and had a brief stint as a Contractor at the company in 2013. Sophie took a maternity leave from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they worked at Yahoo! as Head of/Director of International, Yahoo! Developer Network from 2008 to 2011 and as a Senior International Programme Manager in 2007. Sophie held the role of E-commerce Innovation Programme Manager at BAA from 2004 to 2007 and was a Senior Project Manager at Runtime Collective from 2000 to 2004. Sophie started their career as an Analyst Programmer at Data Connection from 1995 to 1997.
Sophie Davies-Patrick obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Archaeology & Anthropology from the University of Cambridge from 1991 to 1995. In 2017, they obtained a certification as a SAFe Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc.
