Dave Weaver has extensive experience in technology management, currently serving as the General Manager of Technology Shared Services at the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) since 2007, with prior roles as Technology Portfolio Manager and Manager of Infrastructure Products. In the latter position, Dave leads a team responsible for managing the lifecycle of infrastructure products, focusing on cloud and on-premise solutions. Previously, Dave held various management positions in IT operations at MSD and Compaq, where responsibilities included system management and database administration. Early in the career, Dave worked as an Oracle DBA for several organizations, including Telecom New Zealand and Datacom, showcasing a strong foundation in database management and IT operations.
