Joe Mahoney is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as the Technology People Leader at the Ministry of Social Development since September 2021, where responsibilities include managing teams of Systems Engineers and Development Support Analysts, leading recruitment processes, and performance management within an Agile environment. Previously held the position of Senior Technology People Leader at the same organization, overseeing numerous Technology People Leads and Technical Product Owners. Joe Mahoney's extensive experience at ANZ spanned nearly a decade, leading contact centre teams and managing banking operations, with strong emphasis on recruitment, customer service, and team performance. Additional roles include co-organizing events for the NZ Entrepreneur Club and performing in the entertainment industry, complemented by a diploma from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in Entertainment Technology.
