John Taveras

John Taveras currently serves as the Vice President Assistant Residential Mortgage Sales Manager at M&T Bank, a position held since May 2022. Prior to this, John held various roles at People's United Bank, N.A. from July 2017 to May 2022, including VP Affordable Lending Manager and Mortgage Account Officer. John also worked at Astoria Bank from February 1996 to July 2017, where responsibilities included managing a team of outside mortgage loan officers and cultivating relationships with non-profit organizations to assist first-time home buyers in accessing low-interest mortgages and down payment grants.
