Paul Slater is an experienced structural engineer and division manager with a strong background in building structures. At MTE Consultants Inc. since June 2005, Paul has managed a team of 17 as Division Manager, Building Structures, while also specializing in structural assessment, renovations, and the design of industrial buildings and solar support structures. Previously, Paul served as Test Engineering Leader at Wescast Industries Inc., where responsibilities included studying thermal fatigue testing and managing a materials testing lab with a team of nine. Early in the career, Paul worked as a Project Engineer at Paragon Engineering Limited, focusing on the structural design of buildings and bridges. Paul holds a Master of Applied Science in Civil, Structural from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil from the same institution.
