Mervin Swamy

Mervin Swamy is an experienced professional in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as the Head of Strategic Wholesale Product Development at MTN SA since November 2019. Mervin has been with MTN since November 2012, where roles included Senior Manager of Solutions and managing network solutions. Prior to joining MTN, Mervin held the position of Senior RAN Specialist at Nokia Siemens Networks from June 2005 to October 2012, providing expert support in LTE and WCDMA for the Africa Region. Mervin's career began at Denel Aerospace Systems, where responsibilities included the assembly and testing of the RF system for the Umkhonto Surface to Air Missile. Mervin holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Wits Business School, a Bachelor of Technology in Telecommunications Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology, and a National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Durban University of Technology.
