Pierre-Yves Mathonet

Pierre-Yves Mathonet serves as the Executive Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Mubadala since May 2024. With a longstanding association with the CAIA Association since 2006, Pierre-Yves contributes as an author and reviewer of the CAIA Official Curriculum and was a member of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Curriculum Subcommittee from 2009 to 2016. Pierre-Yves is also a member of the Research Council and Board of Directors at the Institute for Private Capital, active since 2018. Previously, Pierre-Yves held key roles in various organizations, including as Head of the Risk & Research team at ADIA from 2012 to 2023, where responsibilities included leadership in investment strategy development. In addition, Pierre-Yves has experience with the European Investment Fund as Head of Risk Management for Private Equity, and academic involvement as Course Director at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Pierre-Yves holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Solvay Brussels School and an MIFFT from London Business School, with ongoing professional development at INSEAD.
