Matthew Shelley has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Matthew started their career at NEF: The Innovation Institute as a Project Manager, where they specialized in delivering STEM strategies for further education colleges and conducting assessments in the education and nuclear sectors. Matthew also developed industry-specific training programs and built relationships with industry partners.
After that, Matthew joined Accenture as a Technology Consulting Manager, where they spent five years working with large energy trading clients. Matthew served as a business analyst, project manager, and product manager, designing and delivering system integration solutions for transaction reporting and coordinating multi-functional teams.
Most recently, Matthew worked at Mudano as an Analytics and Modelling Senior Manager. In this role, they had a wide range of responsibilities, including portfolio management for a large UK building society, developing analytics strategies, and leading the 'go-to-market' efforts in capital markets data and analytics. Matthew also served as the product owner for a cloud analytics platform and represented the company at senior governance boards.
Matthew Shelley completed their education with a PhD in Theory & Simulation of Semiconducting Nanowires for Thermoelectric Purposes from Imperial College London, specializing in Physics and Material Science. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Maths & Physics (Joint Honours) from The University of Manchester. In addition to their formal education, they also have various certifications in the field of Deep Learning, such as a Deep Learning Specialisation, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning, which they acquired through Coursera.
