Jorge Martinez Malacara

Jorge Martinez Malacara is an experienced compliance professional currently serving as the Director and Head of EMEA Financial Crime Compliance Testing at MUFG since August 2019. Prior to this role, Jorge held the position of Director for Conduct, Financial Crime and Compliance Assurance at Standard Chartered Bank, where responsibilities included building assurance capabilities and overseeing compliance-owned systems. Jorge also served as Head of Assurance for Financial Crime Compliance at Standard Chartered and led Financial Crime Assurance as a Vice President at Barclays. Early career experiences include roles in IT risk consultancy at Deloitte, as well as advisory positions in Mexico. Jorge holds a Master's degree in Information Engineering from Universität Osnabrück and a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Tecnológico de Monterrey, along with a diploma in Anti-Money Laundering from ICA.
