Markus Wagner is the current Chief Technical Officer of B3i, a blockchain consortium for the insurance industry. Markus has held this position since March of 2018. Prior to their work at B3i, Wagner was an IT Architect and Innovations manager at Munich Re for 14 years. In this role, they were responsible for developing and managing new IT applications and technologies within the company. Before their time at Munich Re, Wagner worked as a software developer at ITERGO from 2001 to 2004. Markus began their professional career in 2000 as a telemarketer at DAB bank AG.
Markus Wagner has a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Hochschule für Philosophie München. Markus also has certification from R3 as a Corda Certified Developer and from The Linux Foundation as a LFS171x: Blockchain for Business - An Introduction to Hyperledger Technologies.
