Philipp Südmeyer

Philipp Südmeyer is an experienced professional in risk management and information security, currently serving as the Global Head of Non-Financial Risk Management and Chief Information Security Officer at Munich Re since December 2019. Prior to this role, Philipp Südmeyer was the Chief Information Security Officer at DZ BANK AG from June 2013 to December 2019, overseeing information security management. Philipp Südmeyer also held various positions at Deutsche Bank, including Security Architect and Project Manager (Vice President), from 2009 to 2013, as well as Security Architect roles in London. Philipp Südmeyer began a career in security as a Graduate Trainee and Security Analyst at Deutsche Bank AG from 2006 to 2008 and served as a Lieutenant in the German Navy from 1998 to 2000. Philipp Südmeyer earned a Dipl.-Ing (MS) in IT-Security from Ruhr University Bochum between 2000 and 2006.
