Nick Evans

Nick Evans is an experienced IT professional with a comprehensive background in infrastructure management and scientific computing. Currently serving as the IT Infrastructure Manager and Linux Systems Engineer at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute since March 2015, Nick's responsibilities have expanded from managing Linux systems and high-performance computing (HPC) platforms to overseeing all aspects of the institute's IT infrastructure. Prior roles include Senior Scientific Computing Specialist at the Department of Environment and Primary Industries, where Nick managed the HPC facility, and HPC Consultant at Monash University, specializing in Beowulf class clusters. Nick's extensive career also encompasses positions at the Department of Primary Industries, Latrobe University, and Chisholm College, demonstrating a strong foundation in system administration, user support, and network management. Nick holds a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from La Trobe University.
