Kathryn Adcock has a diverse background in research and innovation. Kathryn is currently the Director of Research and Innovation at Muscular Dystrophy UK, a role they have held since June 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Neuroscience and Mental Health at the Medical Research Council from February 2014 to May 2018. Kathryn'sprevious experience includes positions at Wellcome Trust, where they held roles as a Senior Portfolio Developer and a Science Portfolio Manager. Kathryn also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University Children's Hospital in Zurich and the University of Basel. Additionally, they spent time as an ERASMUS student at ETH Zurich.

Kathryn Adcock completed their BSc in Biochemistry at Imperial College London from 1992 to 1996. Kathryn then pursued a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge from 1996 to 2000.
