Octavia Hooks

Octavia Hooks is an accomplished development professional with extensive experience at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, currently serving as the Director of Development since November 2022. Previously, Octavia held various roles within the same institution, including Deputy Director of Corporate Giving and Sponsorship and Corporate Major Gifts Officer, contributing to the organization from July 2000 to November 2021. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Public Service Management from DePaul University, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a Barber Certificate from Larry's Barber College. Additional education was undertaken at the University of Chicago from 2010 to 2012.
