Michael Stangel

Michael Stangel has extensive experience in engineering and management roles within various companies. Currently serving as General Manager at MyHeritage and previously holding the position of VP of Engineering, Michael has been instrumental in leading Geni.com since November 2012. Prior to this, Michael served as Treasurer at Teranga Ranch, Inc. and held engineering roles at Geni, Inc., BIO-key International, Aether Systems, Cerulean Technology, and Equinox Solutions. Michael began career as a Systems Analyst at Eli Lilly. Academically, Michael Stangel earned a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, both from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
