Derrick Jones currently serves as the VP of Information Technology Innovation at the NAACP since July 2018, following progressive roles including Director of Information Technology Enterprise Systems and IT Manager of Infrastructure and DBA. Prior to this, Derrick gained valuable experience at Tougaloo College as a Junior Database Administrator and at Revature as a Software Developer. An early career at One Voice MS as an IT Specialist included managing web content and administrative functions, alongside an internship at One Voice in Jackson, MS. Derrick also worked as a Hardlines Supervisor at Sam's Club, overseeing equipment setup and team management. Education credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Jackson State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering Technology from The University of Southern Mississippi.
