Tyler Smith

Tyler Smith is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at Nabors Industries since August 2013. Tyler has held various legal titles within the organization, progressing from Contracts Counsel to Senior Legal Counsel. In addition to roles at Nabors Industries, Tyler serves as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Contracts Committee for the International Association of Drilling Contractors since January 2019. Tyler's legal expertise was honed during studies at the University of Houston Law Center, culminating in a J.D. in 2013, and further developed through internships with federal judges and a law clerk position at Brown Sims, P.C. Prior to legal practice, Tyler gained significant experience in political campaign management and legislative assistance, contributing to various campaigns and engaging with constituents on key legislative issues.
