Dr. Thorsten Ploss

Dr. Thorsten Ploss has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Dr. Thorsten currently serves as the Chief Corporate Planning & Risk Officer at Nakilat since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Advisor Strategy at APICORP from July 2020 to March 2021. Dr. Thorsten also had a brief stint as an Independent Consultant in early 2020. In 2019, Dr. Ploss took a sabbatical. Before that, they held the position of Vice President Planning, Corporate Strategy at Bahri | البحري from January 2015 to June 2019. Dr. Ploss also worked as a Senior Partner at EY, where they focused on the Middle East and North Africa Oil & Gas sector. Dr. Thorsten was the Managing Director at BLISS Strategy Consulting Ltd, specializing in strategy consulting for emerging markets. Dr. Ploss also had several roles at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, including Partner, Principal, and Senior Project Manager. Dr. Thorsten started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Principal Consultant.

Dr. Thorsten Ploss obtained their Diploma in Chemistry from the University of Hamburg between the years 1985 and 1993. Dr. Thorsten subsequently pursued further studies at the same institution, completing their Dr. rer. nat. in Chemistry from 1993 to 1996.
