Jan Meiling is an experienced leader in the fields of innovation and business development, currently serving as the Director at Naktuinbouw, where the focus is on advancing identity research and quality inspection in the plant-breeding and horticulture industry. Previously, Jan co-founded and directed F&A Next, fostering connections between startups, scaleups, and investors. As Managing Director at StartLife, oversight was provided for various programs designed to support entrepreneurship in agricultural innovations. Stichting Nederlandse Algemene Kwaliteitsdienst Tuinbouw (Netherlands Inspection Service for Horticulture) is better known as Naktuinbouw. Naktuinbouw promotes and monitors the quality of produce, processes and chains in horticulture. The main focus is on propagating material, of national and international origin. Naktuinbouw is a self governing body (ZBO) regulated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation (EA&I).
